How do I order a replacement FiberSafe™12 backup battery?
Call EnerSys Customer Service at 1-866-327-5755 between 8am – 5pm EST Monday through Friday. A credit card payment is required when placing a battery order via phone.

Why is my iPSU still showing a red flashing light after I replaced the FiberSafe battery with a new battery?

If you just replaced your battery and the power indicator light does not turn green within 5 minutes, check to ensure that the power supply is plugged in. Recheck your battery connections.

If battery is installed correctly, press reset button.

If light still does not light or you’re still seeing a red flashing light and you’ve replaced the battery with a new battery, the problem is not the battery and you should call 1-800-288-2020 to be connected to AT&T Customer Service.

How can I tell if my iNID and the iPSU are working properly?

On the front of your iPSU there are two indicator lights. If your iPSU is receiving normal AC power, a solid green "Power" light on the left will be on. If the red "Battery" light on the right is flashing, this indicates that normal AC power is not working and the FiberSafe backup battery is providing DC power to the iNID or that the iNID is not yet communicating with the iPSU.

How long will it take to recharge a fully discharged FiberSafe12 backup battery?
The FiberSafe12 backup battery will recharge to 90% state of charge within 24 hours at 77°F (25°). However, it will take longer if the battery is colder.

How many years will the FiberSafe12 backup battery last?
The FiberSafe12 backup battery typically lasts 3-5 years at 77°F (25°C).

How do I monitor the FiberSafe12 backup battery and what should I look for?
You should monitor the lights (a green light means normal and a red flashing light means attention is required) and listen for any alarms coming from the iPSU. For a complete description of what all the lights and alarms mean view the iPSU Troubleshooting Guide.

How many hours will the FiberSafe12 backup battery provide backup power?
The fully charged Fibersafe12 backup battery will provide approximately 4 hours of battery backup time at 77°F (25°C).

What should I do with my old FiberSafe12 backup battery?
Do not discard the FiberSafe12 backup battery in the trash. It is a sealed lead acid battery that must be properly recycled. We recommend that you take your used battery into your local recycling center or a national automotive battery supply store. Also, most retail stores that sell automotive lead acid batteries will accept small lead acid batteries for recycling. Other lead acid battery recycling centers can be located by calling the Portable Rechargeable Battery Association at 202-719-4978.

Will my phones work with AT&T U-verse Voice service during a power outage?
Your home’s cordless phones will not function during a power outage without a separate battery backup, and not all cordless phones are so equipped.

It is recommended that you have one corded single-line touchtone phone directly connected to your home networking hub or your in-home wiring for use in the event of a power outage.
